I'm always so happy when high schools do my shows. The very first high school production in New York is being presented by the Franklinville Drama Club.

Where does the time go? I've gotten pretty bad about posting updates. I'd been very busy working on a large show...that was delayed a year. But time on my hands meant that I could dedicate myself to a project that I'd been back-burner-ing. I'm really excited about a new album of my music, coming out before the end of the year.

I have finished up my first draft of my latest Mini Musical (approximately one-hour) based on "The Wind in the Willows." Working title is THE GREAT AND GLORIOUS MR. TOAD. What a wonderful book, full of rich, funny and warm characters. I'm so pleased to have been given the opportunity to musicalize it. Production will open in early 2019. Time to start revising, so that I can revise the revision. And then tweak that.

Returns to my home town! The cast is terrific, so try and catch performances at the Firehouse in Pleasanton, the Orinda Public Library Auditorium, or the Del Valle Theatre in Walnut creek between now and March 30th!

I'm just thrilled with the cast of my newest full-length musical CHRISTMAS IN OZ, which opened tonight at the Chanticleers Theatre. It runs for the next five weeks. How we ever got 25 people onto that tiny stage, I'll never know! I'm as proud of this show as any I've ever written, and I hope that it has a long and healthy life in theatres and schools throughout the country. I never expected to write another holiday show, but sometimes we're not in control of our muses!

I'm so excited about my new full-length musical, CHRISTMAS IN OZ. It debuts this holiday season at Chanticleers Theatre in Castro Valley, CA. This show began life as a One-Act musical, and it soon became obvious that it was a full show. I never thought I'd write another full length holiday show...and then I did! The four friends from Baum's original are back, alongside new friends like Gidgety-Gadgety, Brigadier Bloop, Santa Claus and a sassy sorceress named Nefariosa.

It isn't as though I'm not working...it's just as though I'm not updating!
